Echoes of An Ancient Word, by Douglas Michaud
Using the words of St Paul to the Corinthians, Doug summed this book up with this quote, "For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified...and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." In this book, you will read about the power of apostolic Christianity brought to life in the stories of our own day and time...Available on Amazon at this LINK
The Catholic Hodgepodge or, will the Real Gospel Please Stand Up? by Douglas Michaud
Doug argues convincingly that for many today Christian Faith is becoming a surface experience, a hollow and synthetic shell, because we lack the vital encounter with God’s Love that is possible only through a personal commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ. Without this personal and intimate relationship, without a genuine sense of fusion with Christ’s transforming Presence, the presentation of Christianity is stripped of its essential meaning and robbed of its pivotal force. The heart and soul of humanity are left empty without the central experience promised by the Gospel, the real goal of the Gospel: that through the Word of God we can be passionately imbued with the Spirit and Power and Love of the Risen Christ. This accomplished, “It is no longer I who live, but Jesus Christ Who lives in me…” This book is available on Amazon as an ebook at this LINK.

Review
As I read this book, I felt like I was sitting around the fire with friends on a summer night, I became transfered to a stormy night in the mountains and fought within myself the terror and fear of Fr. Andrew. Fr Andrew took his faith, a cross, and the Holy presence of Christ into the night, believing he was needed to help a man. As he drove deep into the dark windy mountain, he is faced with his own death by the hands of a stranger. I felt lost, sad, my hope was for a hero outcome, yet Fr Andrew was a hero he defended his faith until the end.

Eve of All Hallows, Book Two, The Power of the Christ, by Douglas Michaud
Eve of All Hallows, Book Two, The Coming of the Christ, delivers on its promises: to help readers discern God’s Spirit working in their lives despite the eternally conflicting presence of evil. Doug describes this book by quoting an unknown author, "An immortal soul is beyond all price. There is no trouble too great, no humiliation too deep, no suffering too severe, no love too strong, no labor too hard, no expense too large, but that is is worth it, if it is spent in the effort to win a soul for God."
